John Small Elementary School is just down the road from Ware’s Chapel, and we are committed to supporting the students and staff in many ways throughout the year.

Lunch Buddies
A team of volunteers shows up the first Monday of each month from 11:00am - 1:00pm to be present for lunch. Teachers are able to take a break. Volunteers are blessed with time with the students where relationships are formed and stories are shared. The students, teachers, and volunteers all look forward to this each month.

PenPals
Students from John Small write letters with volunteers from Ware’s Chapel to practice reading and writing skills, and to build relationships. Volunteers offer encouragement to students.

Treat Carts
Ware’s Chapel donates money periodically to the John Small Bright Futures Fund so that teachers receive monthly treats in celebration of their work with kids and community.

Hygiene Kits
The United Women in Faith create hygiene kits for 5th grade girls each year so that they have needed supplies and a place for safe keeping.

Annual Events
Volunteers from Ware’s Chapel have helped with Open House, Field Day, EOG Testing, Trunk-or-Treat, Winter Family Dance, and after school Run Club.

Bright Futures Site Council
Pastor Cassidy volunteers on the JSS Bright Futures Site Council to stay up to date on the needs of the school and opportunities for support.
