Fifth Sunday Fellowship Meals

Four times each year, when the calendar gifts us a fifth Sunday, Ware’s Chapel celebrates with a special rhythm of worship and fellowship. These Sundays offer a unique opportunity for the congregation to slow down, share a meal, and deepen relationships across generations.

What Makes Fifth Sundays Special:

  • Abbreviated Worship Service:
Worship is thoughtfully shortened to make room for extended time together in community without feeling rushed.

  • Shared Meal in the Fellowship Hall:
After worship, everyone moves to the Fellowship Hall for a meal — a joyful time of conversation, connection, and hospitality.

  • Potluck-Style Participation:
In most seasons, all are invited to contribute a dish or item for the meal, creating a feast shaped by the gifts and traditions of the whole church family.

  • A Place for Newcomers & Longtime Members:
These gatherings offer an easy, welcoming way for new attendees to get to know others while giving longtime members the chance to reconnect and build deeper relationships.

  • Refreshing Community Time:
Fifth Sundays have become a cherished tradition — a pause in the routine that reminds us of the joy and fellowship at the heart of our life together.
