Pastor Cassidy was appointed to Ware’s Chapel in July 2023. She began serving in ministry for children and families. Through that experience, she heard God’s call to ordained ministry in the United Methodist Church. Cassidy has served churches in Raleigh, Mebane, and now Washington, NC. She holds a Master of Arts in Christian Practice from Duke Divinity School and is a 2023 alumna of the NCCUMC Leadership Fellowship. Cassidy loves living in Washington and is always up for a walk by the water or conversation over coffee.

Anita has lived in Washington all her life. She served as a high school English teacher for more than 30 years in Beaufort County Schools. She is excited to be a part of the staff at Ware's Chapel, where she offers not only her gifts of writing and organization but also her warm and welcoming heart. Anita is the one to answer the phone, keep our calendar straight, and ensure the congregation is well-informed. She is eager to help support the church in any way she can.

Wendy began playing piano as a child, learning from her father, and studied piano performance in college under Dr. Lily Chou. She has been playing piano and directing church choirs for many years across multiple denominations. She has a love for helping the choir sound their best and is always ready to offer encouragement and learn new things.
